TP22-24: Managing Legionella Using an Innovative Bacterial Control System and Rapid Genetic Legionella Testing Environmental Importance This paper describes the results

This paper describes the results of laboratory challenges supported by a series of field demonstrations where an innovative filtration technology is applied for the simultaneous removal and suppression of waterborne bacteria and total suspended solids (TSS)

Using the results of the IPP investigation guidelines were generated for the seismic evaluation of spaced tile fill in cooling tower located in both the eastern and western United States

These stresses can include mechanical factors such as low flow exchangers and hot spots in cooling loops

The original cooling water system was straining to meet the increasing demands placed on it

which is harmful for the installation and reduces its performances

TP22-24: Managing Legionella Using an Innovative Bacterial Control System and Rapid Genetic Legionella Testing Environmental Importance This paper describes the resultsThe greatest challenges for managing the risk of Legionella pneumophila in evaporative cooling water systems have been the lack of effective biocide treatment strategies and the lack of timely Legionella test results. The recent development of an on site, on line, rapid genetic test method for Legionella and an innovative plasma disinfection system (PDS) allows control of the population of all planktonic and sessile bacteria, including Legionella,
