Piezoelectric Extending Transducer (Q220-A4BR-1305XE) Model:Q220-A4BR-1305XE This allows the user to

This allows the user to experiment with using the device in series or in parallel and also in bending mode or in extension

PSI-5J1E is an industry type 5J (Navy Type V) piezoceramic

the piece expands along the axis of polarization (thickness direction) and contracts perpendicular to the axis of polarization (length and width direction)

A 2-layer piezoelectric actuator produces curvature when one piezo layer expands while the other layer contracts

Motion in the length direction is typically on the order of microns or tens of microns

Piezoelectric Extending Transducer (Q220-A4BR-1305XE) Model:Q220-A4BR-1305XE This allows the user toA 2 layer element behaves like a single layer when both layers expand (or contract) together. If an electric field is applied which makes the element thinner, extension along the length and width results. Typically, only motion along one axis is utilized. Extender motion on the order of microns to tens of microns, and force from tens to hundreds of Newtons is typical.
