For all the Commander decks I work on, I keep a document of possible reprint cards and potential creative concepts for each card's artwork
The issue is that without that support, its too weak
Magic has moved away from creatures with upkeep costs, as Commander has become the primary way players engage with the game, and "you have to sacrifice your creature because you skipped that upkeep payment" is an easy way to cause friction at the table
(7/25/2025) Icetill Explorers second ability doesnt change the times when you can play those land cards
I prefer more stable stonks since Magic seems determined to jump the shark and I dont know if Ill have a job in a year
