Depending on player behaviour, the products placed in the machine, the position of the products and/or the menu settings, exceptional situations may arise that require immediate attention for example a card that gets stuck or a user misusing the machine

Such fillers are apparently sometimes used in other TCGs (see The Collation Project on the topic of Magic: The Gathering) and are discarded after cutting (though I wouldnt be surprised if there are Jungle packs accidentally containing a blank card out there somewhere)
Myojin of Cleansing Fire is my favorite, but the others have seen plenty of play
Finally, if youre using low-cost ramp to make up for the fact that you dont have consistent land drops in the early game, then you need to run more lands and are objectively a bad person, both morally and spiritually
All of your good removal like Open Fire, Puncturing Blow, and Unquenchable Thirst is going to trigger these cards as well as cheap cantrips in the form of Crash Through and Strategic Planning
