Wild turkeys have become numerous in recent years in Rocky Mountain National Park as these chicks stay close to their mother for her protection and guidance

I was fascinated watching a few common loons swim and then dive to try and catch fish to reenergize throughout the morning

Catching the sunrise as I walk along the South Fork Kishwaukee River at Wildflower Park

it can be beautiful or inspiring

I continued on along the trail at Wildflower Park where the early morning sun was still low to the horizon
