Victorian Gents Park or Cutting Whip with Decorated Gilt Mounts - w1811 horsebrass with quite a dark agedThis antique riding whip has a gilded cap and collar with cast foliate decoration. The collar has an oval cartouche which is engraved "J. L. from LTM". The edge of the collar is engraved "April 2nd 1872" There are no maker's marks or stamps. Between the cap and collar, the grip is covered in cream coloured braided baleen. The long stock or shaft is covered in braided thread. There is an area of wear near the end of the whip The whip has a replacement
