Azlask, the Swelling Scourge Token decks are extremely popular in Commander

This is extra strong if you have one Witness on the battlefield with another spell recursion creature

Youre only getting two activations without proliferation and other +1/+1 counter effects

In fairness to Ludevic, Necro-Alchemist, he is far from the only reason that Stalwart Unity comes in at the bottom of the pack for partner commanders

He draws LOTS of cards and transforms werewolves while costing a mere 3 mana, what more do you want

Smaller stores might also be selective, taking only cards they know will sell and passing on bulk or heavily played cards
