I could see this being a decent green commander for a stompy green deck that is built to be less commander-dependent

Seasons Beatings This card has some distinctly uncomfortable flavor, though I suppose the ability is fine

It still kills things later in the game very well but the life cost goes up and up

The thing I kept coming back to is that, when you Cartouche of Knowledge and bounce one of each Trial, you are getting a two-mana draw-three (and with incredible selection, as your draw-three includes an Edict and more card draw)
