Dune Chanter is another important creature for the deck, as it turns lands you control and lands you own that aren't on the battlefield into deserts in addition to their other types
A Legacy staple, you need nothing but a land drop to destroy nonbasic lands
This was another impactful creature that controlling decks loved to play in an older version of Standard
It can deal with a lot of things, but it will basically never do it efficiently, and Scry 1 being tacked on isnt exciting enough for this to rise above a 2.0 It has passable stats and helps enable all of your graveyard shenanigans that youre almost guaranteed to have in Black Its important than this exile instead of letting the opponent discard, as you dont want to be helping your opponent get Descend stuff going
Even though its a cool mechanic to have built into your commander, there doesnt seem to be enough pay-off for it in the deck out of the box
I think power level is always at the forefront of everyones mind when building Commander decks, but Ive fully shifted away from that
