It sort of rudely grabs each card from the bottom, and it would be easy to damage them otherwise
Well, yes and no -- Dig is still the most mana efficient way of doing this effect, but you have to be willing to exile a bunch of cards in order to do so
At the very best, youre getting an 8/8 with trample for 5 mana, another wurm from your hand with your newfound pseudo-Phyrexian mana, and a +1/+1 counter across the board, plus another wurm off of Baru, Wurmspeaker if you can swing it
