All the references went over my head and the set ended up feeling like a bunch of nondescript people standing around holding weapons
We didn't want to use an X in an activation cost because we were worried it would cause confusion (yes, as long as X is the same variable the rules can handle it, but experience has shown us time and again that variables are one of the most confusing things in the game for a lot of players), so we tried having the effect limited by the size of the X variable
Satoru, the Infiltrator offers Dimir Reanimate/Scam in Legacy a similar opportunity
You can't cast for free it later in the turn
This card is boring in that Boros got just another boring aggro Commander, but there are a lot of possibilities and if you had an Iroas or Jor Kadeen deck, this might be a better choice
