drink from 2021-2035
If you’ve never tasted a red wine from grapes grown on the side of a volcano
Complex notes of all sorts of citrus fruits
Handled in a fashion similar to the vinification of the Barbarescos made at the estate
picked at 34hL/ha and matured in 75% new oak for a planned 18 months
2023 Franck Balthazar Crozes Hermitage Rouge Bical drink from 2021-2035Roughly 500 cases are produced each vintage of this gorgeous Syrah, produced from plots in Mercurol and La Roche de Glun. Organically farmed, as are all of Balthazar's vines. The grapes are destemmed and aged in older 228 liter barriques and 600 liter demi muids. Filled with dark berry fruit and spice, this one is raring to go!
