2013 Louis M. Martini "Monte Rosso Vineyard - Gnarly Vine" Sonoma Valley Zinfandel Given time in half newAn absolutely killer wine from their famous vineyard is the 2013 Gnarly Vine Zinfandel Monte Rosso Vineyard. This is no wimpy wine at 16. 2% alcohol, but wow, it delivers the goods. Full bodied, exuberant, with an opaque purple color, big, briary blackberry and black raspberry fruit, as well as some roasted herbs and grilled meats jump from the glass of this full throttle, pedal to the metal, intense Zinfandel. Drink it over the next 8 10 years. (RP)
