Untitled | Pavel Tchelitchew | 1950 19th Century decomposed face beneathThis 1950 illustration by Pavel Tchelitchew, Untitled, presents a haunting, abstracted head formed from concentric white lines radiating across a dark background. The spectral contours suggest both a human visage and a geometric construct, merging organic form with optical illusion. Typical of Tchelitchews surrealist explorations, the work reflects his fascination with transparency, metamorphosis, and the inner architecture of human identity. Print: A
