it was named after Coquebert de Montbret a French botanist who accompanied Napoleon when he invaded Egypt in 1798

There are certainly a few more houses built here now but the mountain remains the same

nestled at the foot of Mount Brandon it has a lovely pub pictured in the background and magnificent views of Brandon Bay
